FLOUNDERS - two fish - for Kaipara Coast Sculpture Gardens Exhibition 2021 (Opening 16 November) Two Flounders started life as a quick sketch in the sand. Gradually thinking about this concept over some time, I then worked through the idea on paper, and it became Two Flounders. The finished piece is made from highly polished steel, mirroring and distorting the surrounding areas. Each piece interlocks into itself. Finished pieces are 2400 x 600 x 450 mm
For some reason, fish have always featured in my work - which is rather ironic, as I received a scholarship to art college from the Fishmongers Guild of London.
ATHENA - the figurehead 5mm thick, marine grade sheet steel, 3metres high x 500mm x 250mm. Laser cut, welded and finished by hand. Proposal accepted for NZ Sculpture OnShore 2020 Exhibition - moved to 2021.

A stone from '8 Stones, 8 Artists' an Art Trail on The Beacons Way long-distance trail across the Brecon Brecons National Park. The images that have been created are a response by the artist to the landscape, ecology or culture of the Brecon Beacons and the area through which the walk passes. Each work has been cast or etched in metal and set into natural stone along the way and will have to be discovered by the walker who will be encouraged to take a rubbing. Pan curated and project managed the artists and the installations.
